Music Development Plan

Our Music Development Plan outlines how we ensure high‑quality, progressive music education across the school, enabling all pupils to develop musical skills, creativity, confidence, and enjoyment. The plan sets clear priorities for curriculum progression, staff development, resources, and enrichment, ensuring that every child has meaningful opportunities to sing, play instruments, compose, and perform. This work is important because music supports wider learning—such as memory, coordination, communication, and emotional expression—while also promoting cultural understanding, confidence, and teamwork. Through regular lessons, performances, instrumental opportunities, and partnerships with external providers, we deliver a rich and inclusive music offer that helps pupils grow as musicians and as confident contributors to our school community.
