Uniform Policy

At St Catherine’s Catholic Primary School, we believe that a smart and consistent school uniform helps to create a sense of identity and belonging within our school community. We appreciate the support of parents in ensuring that children adhere to our uniform expectations.

Uniform Expectations

Girls’ Winter Uniform

• Green skirt or green pinafore dress
• Black school trousers (not tight-fitting)
• Green cardigan or jumper (knitted or sweatshirt)
• Green or black tights or white socks
• White shirt
• School tie (elastic for infants)

Girls’ Summer Uniform

• Green gingham dress
• Green cardigan (knitted or sweatshirt)
• White socks

Boys’ Winter Uniform

• Grey trousers
• Green jumper (knitted or sweatshirt)
• Grey or black socks
• White shirt
• School tie (elastic for infants)

Boys’ Summer Uniform

• Grey shorts or grey trousers
• Green jumper (knitted or sweatshirt)
• White polo shirt (with or without school logo)

PE Uniform

• Black shorts
• Green T-shirt (logo optional)
• Black tracksuit bottoms, skorts, or leggings
• Trainers (for outdoor use)
• Green hoody with the school logo (or another plain, suitable jumper)

Knitted jumpers and cardigans should be ordered from Impressions in Leyland or Truetex (online).

Hair and Jewellery

• Hair should be neat and appropriate for school.
• Long hair must be tied back with a bobble or kept out of the eyes with a headband.
• Extreme hairstyles, including shaved patterns or lines, are not permitted during term time. Parents are encouraged to keep these styles for holidays, allowing enough time for hair to grow out before returning to school.
• Only stud earrings are permitted to be worn in school.
• Earrings must not be worn during PE lessons for health and safety reasons.
